The Game:

And here we go. The San Antonio Spurs won a critical Game 5 on their home court to grab a 3-2 series lead with the action now heading back to Miami. This has been one strange series, as Game 1 was close, but since then we’ve just gone back and forth with the two teams putting it on each other. Last game it was just everyone in the Spurs starting lineup who really stepped up big. Manu Ginobili came out of nowhere to put up 24 points and 10 assists, Danny Green had 24 points and 6 rebounds, Tony Parker had 26 points, Tim Duncan had a double-double with 17 and 12, and Kawhi Leonard put up 16 and 8. The Spurs starters were just rolling. The Heat got solid performance from their big three, but it just wasn’t enough. Game 6 in Miami tips off on Tuesday night at 9:00pm EST.

The Spurs need EXACTLY what they got in Game 5, which was someone stepping up to provide that spark. Fortunately last game it was a little bit of everyone, but especially Ginobili and Danny Green. In all honesty if the Spurs can win this series and take down the title, I think there’s a good chance that we could see Green getting the Finals MVP trophy. He’s been excellent, and if he keeps his sharp shooting going, the Spurs could this years champs. Expect San Antonio to come out with the same defensive mentality that they had in Game 5, but it’s going to be a tough night in Miami.

The Heat have gotten the old style of Dwayne Wade here in these past few games, and they are going to need that to keep rolling along. While LeBron James is going to get his almost every night, Miami needs Wade and Chris Bosh, but also the key role players like Ray Allen and Mario Chalmers to step up. Even though they have a home game in Game 6, and if they win another home game in Game 7, winning back-to-back games in the NBA Finals is never easy. Watch LeBron, as he’s going to do his best to carry this team in Game 6.

Free Prediction:

Going back to Miami with their season on the line, you have to expect the Heat to step up, and I fully believe that they will. Not only will it be LeBron James, but Dwayne Wade is going to play a massive role in the Heat’s Game 6 win, and I think that both of these players are going to be on top of their game. They aren’t All-Stars for no reason, and I expect a nice win for the home team. Seven games is pretty much what this series was destined for, and I’m rolling with the Heat to win by nine.

I’m going with the Miami Heat- 100 over the San Antonio Spurs- 91

Sports Betting Line and Odds:

San Antonio Spurs: +7 (current line at most sportsbooks)
Miami Heat: -7

Free Pick:

This line being so high is something that I pretty much expected. The Heat are in a must win, and they are home, which will add up to a nice win for them. Let’s take this one to Game 7, and get ready for a huge game on Thursday night. I’m picking Miami to get the cover. GL!

FREE Pick: Miami Heat -7 : 1 Unit (-105)
